Horse Youth Show Off Their "Smarts" in Horse Bowl Contest

These were just a few of the questions from this year's 4-H Horse Bowl Contest.  It was a great contest with 30 participants.  We had LOTS of first-time contestants and it was really apparent that they have been studying.  Congratulations to everyone who participated:

Juniors:  Sarah-Beth McKinney, Emma Howell, Kassidy Applegate, Katelyn Fowers, Dyllan Norman, Kacie Short, Violet Jessop, Mary-Kate McKinney, Conley Davis, Olivia Favero, Kyler Baldwin, Gracelyn Flint, Blakley Bell.

Intermediates:  Rosie Smith, Mattie Kartchner, Tate Flint, Amanda Norman, Megan Outzen, Leslie Price, Sarah Nielsen, Rachel Wamsley, Meagan Wamsley,

Seniors:  McKenzie Young, Katie Short, Sarah Arave, Mariah Arave, Bailey Gehrlein, Korinne Clark, MacKenzie Williams.

Tops honors were presented as follows:

Junior: 1st - Kacie Short, 2nd - Katelyn Fowers, 3rd - Dyllan Norman, Honorable Mention - Blakley Bell.

Intermediate: 1st - Rosie Smith, 2nd - Sarah Nielsen, 3rd - Rachel Wamsley, Honorable Mention - Meagan Wamsley.

Senior: 1st - Bailey Gehrlein, 2nd - Aurora Quinn, 3rd - Mariah Arave

Our A Team for state competition is:  Bailey Gehrlein, Aurora Quinn, Mariah Arave, Sarah Arave, alternate Korinne Clark.  Our B Team for state competition is MacKenzie Williams, Kenzie Young, and Katie Short.
